I should have used Eli’s nap time to bathe.
Whoopsie!
The choices we have to make as parents.
I chose to make an animal wearing pants.
My poor husband…
the second easter egg was found by Irene a few days later.
I practiced more, and now I think the Pandas are etsy worthy! Even my harshest critic liked them! I will have to make him one.
For now, the two that I made are for sale at https://www.etsy.com/shop/ginnyandwinnie
I need to get some more of those awesome safety eyes!
I made this fellow for my son last night. I think when you add the safety eyes, it makes the stuffed beast look so much better!
Eli liked it for a minute. It should have been truck. He is in to those now. Big time.
For Irene’s birthday, I gave her an old printpress letter holding drawer. With it, I gave her some little animals I made and painted. The deal was, every time I visited her, I would hide a new figurine. I hid two during the past visit, because I forgot one the prior visit. She found one while I was there, and was so excited!
She found this guy. The other has yet to be found…
I made this fellow, intending to add him to the shop. I am not completely satisfied with how he came out. He is a little wobbly on his feet. He stands, with lots of coercing.
Make me an offer I can’t refuse!
I am really impressed with people who have their shit together.
I had goals for the summer,
1. to add two items to etsy.com each week.
2. update my blog more frequently.
3. keep the house tidier, afterall, I am a stay-at-home mom for two months, I want to enjoy the house at its best.
But, I have been too busy. Going to the beach. Playground. Gardening. You know, summer things. I have also been working on a secret gift project. I will post after it has been given.
I still have time to get my shit together.
Swallows are way over-done these days. I hopped on the bandwagon, because I like them too.
Barn Swallows hold a special place in my heart because they enjoy swooping at Joey and I when we go on romantic walks in the Conservatory. I think they hear Joey wonder aloud if there are any yummy eggs, as he peeks into the birdhouses.
I have never enjoyed drawing dogs.
A student requested that I draw his new puppy for him. I don’t know what it looks like, just that it is “a weiner dog with reddish fur and white fur by his nose that looks like a flame.” I preferred the chick request. I bet if I did a google image search of a weiner dog, I would find something that would make me laugh.
I am not all the way proud of this, and I am sure I will get an honest critique tomorrow. I will do something spectacular this week. Maybe.
I just renewed some things, and added this bad boy to etsy. I am quite liking the small collection of paintings I have on my cluttered desk, but one day, yes, one magical day, my paintings could start selling like hotcakes and that would not be the end of the world!
I did a google image search to find out what a chick looks like. Uh, there were all sorts of chicks. Cute, arousing, insulting. Many images surfaced.
